Dear Parents and Carers,

With Storm Austen forecast to affect Cornwall overnight and into tomorrow, we ask all families to carefully assess their own local conditions before travelling to school in the morning.

Please consider:

Local road conditions and any flooding, fallen trees or debris.
The safety and availability of public transport, school transport or taxis.
Weather conditions in your immediate area, which may differ from those around the school.
Whether your journey can be completed safely.
While the school intends to remain open at present, the safety of our pupils, families and staff is our priority. If you feel it is unsafe to travel from your location, please inform the school office and your child's absence will be considered in light of the severe weather conditions.

We recommend checking the latest weather forecasts and warnings before setting off and allowing extra travel time if you do need to travel.

Any updates regarding the school's opening arrangements will be communicated via our usual channels.
